We pick you up from your hotel at 6 AM and take the Machupicchu train to kilometer 104. At the trailhead you hike through sub-tropical jungle for about 3 hours until you reach Wiñayhuayna (2650 meters). At Wiñayhuayna you will regroup with your guide and have a cold lunch, then hike the rest of the way to Machupicchu and descend to Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy the hot springs. Dinner is served in Aguas Calientes and you spend the night there in a comfortable hostal.
On the second day you return to the Machupicchu sanctuary, visit the temples of the Sun, the Condor, dwelling houses, ceremonial houses, the famed terraces, fountains, and get to know everything about this organized city.
